Completed in 2003, 325 Van Norman is one of Thunder Bay's most luxurious apartment complexes.  The building contains six - 2 bedroom, 950 sq. ft. apartments with a European design.  Don't let the the simple façade fool you - these apartments MUST be seen to be appreciated.

Constructed to the highest standards for energy efficiency, the apartments feature radiant in floor heating - perfect for persons with allergies or asthma - using a gas-fired, direct vent (sealed) water heater (not rental), which also provides domestic hot water.  Each unit has an HRV (Heat Recovery Ventilator) with humidity control for superior comfort and air quality.  Monthly utility bills are much lower than a similar sized apartment with electric or gas forced air heating.

The ground floor suites are completely accessible and feature a walk-in shower with grab bars and bench seat, ceramic tiles throughout, oak kitchen and bathroom cabinets and direct access to the rear patio.

The second floor suites have a one piece whirlpool bathtub with shower, oak kitchen cabinets, white oak hardwood flooring in the bedrooms and ceramic tiles in the balance of the unit.

The third floor suites are exceptional.  The 400 sq. ft. open concept living room/dining room/kitchen has a vaulted ceiling and a fantastic view.  These units also feature a whirlpool bathtub with shower, oak kitchen cabinets, white oak hardwood flooring in the bedrooms and ceramic tiles in the balance of the unit.

All units have five (5) appliances including a self clean oven with ceramic cook top and a front loading washing machine. (An ideal combination is a front loading horizontal axis clothes washer and a clothes line.  A report done for the city of Portland, Oregon, estimates that a typical family can save about $120 each year using a horizontal axis clothes washer and electric dryer.  An H-axis washer saves energy because it uses one-third less water.  This reduces the amount of energy required to heat the wash water (two-thirds less).  In addition, an H-axis washer spins the clothes faster (and drier), reducing the amount of energy used by the clothes dryer.  H-axis washers offer other advantages over conventional, top loading machines, as well.  They get clothes cleaner with less wear and tear on fabrics.)

All units have access to the furnished south side patio with propane barbeque.  The building is equipped with a state of the art fire alarm system.

A large paving stone parking lot at the front of the building accommodates 10 parking spaces.  Each unit has a dedicated electrical outlet in the parking lot, which can be switched off when not in use.

This is a non-smoking building and pets are not allowed.
