Healthy Housing™ Recognition

On September 23, 2006, at the Grand Opening of the Fifth Avenue Townhomes, Richard received Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporations's Healthy Housing™ Recognition. 

CMHC's Healthy Housing™ Recognition Program recognizes Ontario builders and renovators who incorporate the features of CMHC's Healthy Housing™ principles in building and renovating houses. Their contributions improve the health of Canadians, reduce energy use and make a positive impact on the environment. 

CMHC is a leader in promoting the concept of Healthy Housing™.  A truly healthy house is one that is good for the people who live in it, good for the community and good for the earth.  Healthy Housing™ is defined by five key elements: Occupant Health, Energy Efficiency, Resource Efficiency, Environmental Responsibility, and Affordability.
